Does Sunny Cove offer installation?

Yes, we offer installation. However, this service is only offered via our subcontractors. We only use experienced professionals who we can trust to do the job well.

Does Sunny Cove offer design services?

Yes, we offer design services as well as work with your designer if you prefer.

Does Sunny Cove use water-based finishes?

Yes. We use a high-quality, low-VOC water-based finish to reduce the paint smells that typically linger after a new project is completed.

Does Sunny Cove do custom cabinet work?

Yes, we do both custom kitchen and bath cabinets. No two cabinets are alike. You dream it, we build it!

Does Sunny Cove offer countertops?

Yes. After you choose your specific option, our trusted subcontractors will complete this for you. We recommend quartz, but granite can also be used as long as it is polished every year or two.

What kind of cabinet options do I have?

Sunny Cove offers full overlay, inset, beaded inset, and frameless cabinet construction. Full overlay has 1/4-inch gaps at doors and drawer fronts and includes Shaker style. Inset doors and drawer fronts are flush with the frame. Beaded inset is flush with a 1/4-inch bead around every opening. Frameless construction has 1/8-inch gaps at doors and drawer fronts.

Does Sunny Cove use real hardwood frames and doors?

We use 3/4-inch-thick hardwood for our frames and doors. Our doors have five pieces: top, bottom, center, left, and right. The center panel is paint-grade MDF and does not expand or retract, so it is less likely to crack than glued-together panels.

Does Sunny Cove use hardwood drawer boxes?

Our standard drawers have 5/8-inch maple sides, dovetailed with a 1/4-inch plywood bottom.

Does Sunny Cove use soft-close hinges and slides?

Yes, we use Blum soft-close heavy-duty slides and hinges.

Do sinks come with the cabinets?

If you pick out your sink at the countertop place, then yes. If you get another kind of sink, then no. If you get a farm sink, Sunny Cove needs it at the shop before work begins.

Does Sunny Cove supply appliances?

No, but we need specifications for all the appliances you have or will be getting to finish designing the job.

Does Sunny Cove put sink mats in sink cabinets or vanities?

Yes, that is standard. We feel it brings peace of mind in case there is any condensation buildup in your cabinet or vanity.

Does Sunny Cove have insurance coverage while installing cabinets?

Yes, we carry a standard $2,000,000 General Aggregate Limit insurance policy.

Custom Cabinets Chester County — Sunny Cove Cabinetry

Built for This County

Chester County's Custom Cabinet Shop

Chester County takes in 73 municipalities, from the county seat in West Chester to river towns like Phoenixville and out to the Lancaster County line in the west. Every home is different, and a catalog cabinet rarely fits a room exactly.

That is the case for custom cabinets. We measure your room, design around it, and build every box in our Coatesville shop, drawing on the Amish cabinetmaking tradition of our neighbors just west in Lancaster County.

Older HomesEach cabinet is built to the measurements we take on site, so walls and openings that aren't standard size are planned for from the start.
New BuildsBuilders get cabinets made from their plans, with the same specs held across every home in a project.
Every RoomKitchens, vanities, pantries, mudrooms, laundry rooms, offices, and built ins, all from one shop.
